Baptist Temple Church has stood as a beacon of faith, hope, and spiritual strength in Shreveport, Louisiana for more than a century. Founded on August 11, 1905, under the leadership of the late Rev. Robert Taylor, Baptist Temple was organized at 1413 Murphy Street as an offspring of Galilee Baptist Church. From the beginning, our foundation has been Christ.
A LEGACY OF FAITHFUL LEADERSHIP
Since our church's inception in 1905, Baptist Temple has been blessed with a legacy of faithful leadership. God's chosen shepherds for our flock have labored in longsuffering to make sure that Baptist Temple becomes what the church ought to be: a place of discipleship, love, community and action. Under our current pastor, Rev. Trevor Allen, Sr., we continue to soar.
